Somalia 2000 Shillings ND unc/au

.Authentic Somalia 2,000 Shillings non-issued banknote from the 2010 series, produced for Somalia by the Sudan Currency Printing Press in Khartoum.

This proposed currency series was never officially released into circulation. Large quantities remained stored in Sudan, and examples of the unissued Somali notes later entered the collector market following the outbreak of Sudan's civil war in 2023.

The 2,000 Shillings features a river scene on the front and banana trees on the reverse, together with the Somali coat of arms.

Please note: The banknote pictured is representative of the note you will receive. Serial numbers may vary from the example shown.

An unusual piece of modern African monetary history and an excellent addition to a collection of Somali or unissued world currency.
